Browser plug-in

A browser plug-in is a software add-on that attaches components into another software application to enable the functionality of that application. The plug-in is sometimes needed to play a browser game, video, flash or other types of internet files. Normally the functionality of a Web browser is not enough and therefore it needs a plug-in to support programs and applications.
