Armies

- Handling your armies

There are several things that you can do to use your armies properly. It is important to know how to act in a certain situation but also how to perform these actions practically.

Opening up your army tab

On the map you only got limited information about your army as you can only see your hero and units. However if you enter your army tab you will be able to view information about your hero as well as effects and items.
Once you have one of your armies selected it is indicated by a colored background both in the list and on the tab.

You can enter your army tab for one of your armies at a time in two different ways.

  • Click on your army in the field armies list on the left side of the interface.
  • Click on the cell where your army is at on the map, then click on the army name in the panel.

Splitting armies and transferring units and items between slots are essential actions that you are going to use on a regular basis once you have learned how to use them.

Split armies into multiple armies

It is possible to split armies into multiple armies but you can only have two armies for each village that you control.
Follow these instructions to transfer items between your armies:

  1. Click on the "split-army"-icon in the upper right corner of your army panel. This opens up a new army panel.
  2. Drag your units into an empty army slot to transfer your units between your armies.
  3. By holding down your shift key while dragging you will be able to open up more advanced options, where you can choose the amount of units that you want to transfer. See video below.
  4. Select your army simply by clicking on it. A selected army is indicated by a golden bar.

Transferring items

You can transfer items between your armies if two (or more) of your armies are standing on the same cell on the map.
Follow these instructions to transfer items between your armies:

  1. Make sure you have two armies on the same cell on the map.
  2. Click on the "transfer items"-icon in the upper right corner of one of your army panels.
  3. A popup window is now opened showing the item inventories for your armies. If you have more than two armies on that cell simply switch your armies using the dropdown box.
  4. Drag an item from one inventory to another. If there is an item there already it will automatically swap position.

Unit slots

If you take a look at your army panel you will see a list of units as well as a place for your hero.
You start the game with just a few unit slots but as the game progresses more is unlocked through research.
Each unit slot can have one type of unit in it. The list below describes what will happen if you drag different types of units between slots:

  • If you drag one stack of units into a slot that are occupied by another type of units, they will switch position.
  • Dragging a unit stack with the same type of unit into another will merge them.
  • Dragging the last unit stack from one army into another army will remove the first army. Items are automatically transferred into the new army.

Army Settings

Each army can be organized to have different behaviours. Currently you can only decide for how long you want your army to tend their wounds when defeated.

Open up your army settings inside your army's tab by clicking on the icon in the top right corner of your army's panel.
