- Locations

There are plenty of locations that you can visit in Aloriah and common to all is that you have to perform the Search Location command in able to actually visit it on the map. Every time you have visited a location you will receive a notification.

Village Spots

In Aloriah you will have neighbors that you will team up with, fight against or simply ignore. Once you start moving around the map you will notice village spots almost everywhere.

Some village spots are uncontrolled (marked by a white flag) while others are player-controlled.

Walking over another hostile (red) player’s village won’t start a battle unless that player has got an army out on the field.

You will never be able to settle a village in a zone where you already have a village, even if the village spot is uncontrolled.

Portal stones

These will give your troops a moment of peace. The stones where once enchanted by the love god Aphrodite to never let a mortal be able to hurt another person in combat as long as they were under her spell.

If you are still not convinced you can always click on a location and if it is visited you will see a text in the panel. Hostile armies can stand on a portal stone without engaging in combat.

The item “Scroll of stone portal” can transport your army to a portal stone that you have visited.

Lookout Towers

These locations are controllable and will grant you +6 line of sight when you have it under your control. They can give you a great edge over the surrounding areas, as you will always be able to see what is going on in that area.
Out on the seas there are lighthouses instead of lookout towers.

Grinding Spots

Grinding spots will allow your armies to get stationed on a cell and still be useful to your civilization. Grind wood or stone and get a little extra income or anchor your boat at your favorite fishing spot to catch a nice meal or dive for unforgotten treasures.
