Devillusion AB ("Devillusion"), Svärdvägen 25A, 182 33 Danderyd, Sweden, operates the web browser-based online game Aloriah ("Aloriah") that can be played by players ("Players"). The services provided within the context of Aloriah shall be provided on the sole basis of these General Terms and Conditions ("GTC").
I. In addition to the present GTC, any other official rules ("Rules") which may be specified as a link from the first page, shall apply. Such official rules may also be specified in a sticky or announcement thread in the forums by anyone from our staff and shall in this case also apply.
II. These GTC shall be published on Aloriah’s websites. There they can be seen and printed out.
III. By registering a game account ("Account") for Aloriah ("Registration") the Player accepts the relevant version of the GTC for all future logins into Aloriah.
IV. Use of Aloriah, use of the brand of Aloriah or use of any visual material from Aloriah for any type of profit-making purposes or commercial purposes is prohibited.
V. Minors are only eligible to play with the consent of their legal guardian prior to registration in Aloriah. Devillusion takes no responsibility for any minors playing Aloriah without the consent of their legal guardians.
VI. Devillusion hereby reserves the right to modify, change or add to these GTC at any time with instant future effect. The players shall be notified of changes to these GTC by either in the form of an email sent to their specified email address, as an easily viewable news link on the home page or upon login into Aloriah.
VII. The Player may object to changes made to the GTC ("Objection"), but has no right to demand or receive anything in return as an answer to that objection. If the Player does not agree with these changes, Devillusion recommends the Player to stop logging in into Aloriah.
I. Membership commences upon successful registration for Aloriah, i.e. upon the opening of an account by Devillusion.
II. Upon correctly and fully filling in the registration form the player initiates a binding membership.
III. The player does not have the right to obtain a membership.
I. The player only obtains a right to use Aloriah’s services if they have established a membership.
II. Devillusion hereby reserves the right to cease operation of Aloriah or of individual game worlds (“Game World”) without any justification.
III. Aloriah and the game worlds are continuously updated and/or modified in order to make Aloriah interesting for a wide variety of players. The player only obtains a right to play Aloriah in its current version at any time.
I. The player is aware that Aloriah - as with all software - can never be completely free of defects ("bugs").
II. The player is required to report bugs immediately when noted. The report can be issued through email, letter and/or through the integrated forum in Aloriah.
III. The player hereby guarantees that he/she will cooperate as far as possible when it comes to removing bugs. The player also ensures that no bugs will be used for one's own advantage.
I. A player may not register for more than one (1) account on each realm. A violation of this limitation will lead to immediate deletion of all of the player's accounts without prior notice.
II. The player hereby ensures that the password belonging to the player's account is kept secret. The player alone is responsible for their password and the player also ensures that no one knows their password.
III. Devillusion only provides a platform for communication between players in Aloriah. The player is always responsible for the content in his/her communication.
IV. The player hereby ensures that he/she will keep every statement in Aloriah free from racist, pornographic and/or abusive content. Violation of this provision may, after a prior warning notice, lead to a deletion of their account and membership.
V. The player ensures that he/she will only play Aloriah through normal web browsers. Any further use of additional programs/scripts/tools (such as, but not limited to, bots) is strictly prohibited. Violation of this provision may, after a prior warning notice, lead to a deletion of their account and membership.
I. Devillusion shall not be liable to compensate the Player for any of the following situations:
a. Injury to life, body or health.
b. Economical expenditures regarding Aloriah or in relation to logging in to or playing Aloriah.
c. On the grounds of any other compulsory liability.
d. Because of a deliberate or negligent breach of fundamental contractual obligations.
e. Because of any other situation that the Player might come and demand compensation for.
II. The Player takes sole responsibility for his health, economy, sleep and life while playing Aloriah or while having an account in Aloriah. Aloriah can be an addictive game and Devillusion recommends the Player to sometimes take a break in the sun and to not spend more actual money than his/her economy can afford.
I. The contracts between Devillusion and the Player regarding normal use of Aloriah last for an indefinite period unless specified as a condition in the relevant service from Devillusion.
II. Devillusion is entitled to remove the Player from any game worlds bound to his/her account if any of the following conditions have been met:
a. The Player has not logged into the specific game world that he/she is bound to for over seven (7) days.
b. The Player has deliberately violated any of the other rules specified.
c. The Player has violated the present GTC.
III. Devillusion is entitled to terminate the account of the Player if any of the following conditions have been met:
a. The player has not logged into their account for six (6) months.
b. The Player has deliberately violated any of the other rules specified, and has after being warned by email or in-game message, still continued to violate the rules.
c. The Player has violated the present GTC.
IV. The Player is not entitled in any way to make any claims to have their account reinstated, in-game credits refunded or civilization in a game world returned if they have been removed from a game world or have had their account terminated. Still, Devillusion recommends the Player to email the support staff if they feel they have been treated unfairly.
V. A player cannot terminate his account, only inactivate it. Accounts will be automatically terminated if they have been inactive for six (6) months.
